Tuscan Beauty
It has been five months since our vacation in Camaiore and I am still dreaming about our peaceful and relaxing stay at La Stalleta. I loved everything about it. The house is set up in the hills among olive trees and flowers. We spent most of our time outside – there are two verandas or terraces – where we read books, drank wine, and enjoyed dining al fresco. My two teenage sons especially enjoyed the pool and the Internet access, even at the pool garden area. The house, itself, is charming and provided for all of our needs. It is well-maintained and updated with two nice bathrooms (with good water pressure). My favorite room in the house was the master bedroom – the original Tuscan windows let in lots of sunlight and moonlight and the bed was so comfortable – the most peaceful sleeping we’ve ever had. The location is also very good. Even though you are up in the hills, we could walk to a family pizza restaurant, where we had the best pizza ever. We took day trips to Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence, and San Gimignano. There is also a beach close by. However, what made Villa Gaia so special were its owners, Paola and Lucio. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home. They lived only two minutes away and were available if we ever needed anything or had questions. We look forward to returning some day soon.
